Tools, Free Gifts & Soulful Reading for Shadow Work

“At our core, we all long for intimacy and connection that leaves us feeling loved and welcomed exactly as we are. But this possibility only becomes real when we regularly practice turning towards our own vulnerabilities, the places we’ve been hurt, and meeting what’s within, with an attuned and compassionate heart.
To do this, we need a combination of patience, awareness, generosity and truthfulness. Once we learn to hold ourselves in kindness, we can extend that warmth towards others, and experience staying in authentic, respectful relationship, even through challenge.”

Getting Started with Shadow Work: Recommended Reading
A curated reading list of foundational Shadow Work texts not available on Bookshop.org where my other book lists live (see below). These titles were chosen specifically as accessible introductions for those new to this work, and to offer clarity amid the growing noise around what is really involved in integrating your shadow.
Love Letter to Sensitive Souls & Free Gift
If your heart hurts from feeling invisible, being misunderstood, shamed or called “too much,” “too sensitive,” or “too intense,” then this gift is especially for you.
This letter and set of printable invocation cards were created as a reminder that your sensitivity is not a flaw, it’s a highly intelligent way of perceiving, connecting, and moving through the world that’s worth honouring, and I believe, is very much needed. Thank you, for keeping your heart open, through everything.

Bookshop Reading Lists
A growing selection of themed booklists, grouped by topic to help you explore specific aspects of inner work through a Jungian lens. Every title has been intentionally selected based on what clients often ask about, struggle with, or want to explore further as well as what I have found illuminating on my own journey. Some recommended books that are not available on this platform are mentioned in each list’s introductory note, so that you can source them elsewhere. These lists are hosted on Bookshop.org, chosen specifically as a platform that supports independent bookstores.
Explore the Archetypes
Archetypes are universally recognised patterns that influence how we meet and experience the world, including our sense of self, agency, connection and meaning. They aren’t inner parts we locate, rather energies that move through us to varying degrees in different domains of life, and show up in the roles we play, the instincts we follow and the stories we live from.
The Persona Archetype Quiz is designed to help you uncover which of four core archetypal patterns might be most familiar to you- the one most likely to contain your conscious strengths, favourite natural gifts, self-image, and trusted, habitual ways of navigating life. You’ll have the option to receive your results by email.

Atlas of the Heart ~ Dr. Brené Brown (Included with Spotify Premium)
An audiobook by research professor and author Dr Brené Brown that explores 87 distinct emotions and experiences to help listeners build a more precise emotional vocabulary. Emotional granularity, the ability to name and distinguish what we’re feeling, has been linked to stronger regulation, resilience and well-being.
It’s especially helpful for understanding the nuances between emotions we confuse, like guilt and shame, compassion and pity, and can validate the instinct that something’s off even when others mean well.
“Language shows us that naming an experience doesn’t give the experience more power, it gives us the power of understanding and meaning.” ~ Brené Brown
Irene Lyon ~ Nervous System Education & Somatic Practices (YouTube)
Irene Lyon is a somatic practitioner trained in Feldenkrais, Somatic Experiencing, and Kathy Kain’s Somatic Practice. She has integrated these modalities to bring grounded, accessible nervous system regulation tools to a wide audience.
Her YouTube channel offers clear, well-taught exercises and practices based in her extensive training in trauma physiology, neurobiology and body-based healing; perfect for building resilience and capacity safely.
I’ve trained with her via online courses and applied her techniques in my own healing as well as with my clients, and can vouch for the level of clinical rigour, practical clarity and teaching skill she brings to this field.
